Family Law

**PLEASE NOTE** Illinois updated its Dissolution of Marriage and Paternity Acts in 2015 and 2016. As a result, there are new nuances and complications to family law cases.

A divorce can be one of the most emotionally stressful experiences of your life. That is why it is so important you trust the person acting on your behalf. I will offer a grounded, common sense approach to your case designed to protect your interest while working to get your case completed – without running up fees or deliberately provoking confrontation with the other side.

The lawful establishment of paternity provides parents with an affirmative declaration as to who a child's parents are and establishes clear visitation and support provisions. It also provides parents with a place and mechanism to work out problems and disputes, which often arise in raising your child.

Affordable Fees:
I strive to provide reasonable and fair fee arrangements in every case, whether divorce or paternity. Because each case is unique, the exact services and amount of time I will provide you will vary based on your needs and the actions of your spouse and their attorney. I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your situation and to provide you with the costs and fees for your circumstances. I generally request a minimum retainer of $1,500, in each type of case.
